Scary weekend

So Griffyn had been feeling a little sickly this past week, starting on Halloween night. We assumed that she had just caught the flu bug that both Justin and I had had at the beginning of the week so didn't think too much of it. She had a fever on Thurs when she woke up and also had diarrhea so I kept her at home with me that day. On Friday, she had had a fever throughout the night, and was awake a lot of the night just not feeling good. I went to work that morning and Justin was home with her. Long story short, she ended up having a seizure and he took her to the ER here in town. They put her on IV fluids and took some blood work to run some tests on that. They determined her sodium level was low and they also thought that she may have Meningitis. They weren't able to care for her there, so they took her by ambulance to Wesley in Wichita. I rode with her and Justin and my dad drove up separately. When we got there, they admitted her into the PICU and did some more blood work on her. They ended up doing an EEG and that all came back normal, so that was really reassuring. After a weekend of mostly sleeping and just being watched, the determined that she had a bad ear infection and some kind of viral infection. They put her on an antibiotic and as soon as she finally ate and drank we were released. So, we spent Fri-Sun. up there. It was definitely scary. Something I never want to have to go through again, but I'm certainly glad she's ok, feeling better, and that it wasn't much more serious. I'm keeping her home from daycare all week, I'll go back to work Wed/Thurs since Justin will be off, but figured it was best for her to just stay home and get lots of rest rather than get run down at daycare.

I finally found a ball dress!! Haha the ball this this weekend and I hadn't found anything yet, but I found a dress yesterday for $40! I was pretty pumped about it. :) I also bought my very first pair of 7 jeans!! I tried some on a few weeks ago, because I like to do that every once in awhile just to see where I'm at, but I finally BOUGHT my first pair yesterday! Pretty psyched! I still can't believe that I can wear jeans that small! I used to wear size 19!!!! NINETEEN!!!! It's crazy. But so exciting! :) I haven't actually bought new jeans back in Jan for my bday and that's the last time I've actually bought new ones. My SIL Heidi has given me a couple of pairs that she couldn't wear anymore, so that's what's been getting me by since then. They have definitely gotten way too big though so I figured it was time to at least buy one pair. I just hate to spend the money when I know I won't be wearing them very long. But these were only $25, so I figured it wasn't too bad. I have a friend that is sending me some of her jeans she doesn't wear anymore, so hopefully between the new ones and the ones she's sending, it'll get me by for awhile. :) I can't wait to get to my UGW (ultimate goal weight) so I can buy some expensive jeans, that fit a lot better, but like I said, I don't wanna do that til I'm there. :) Just something else to look forward to!!

Other than that, which I know is a LOT, not too much is new in our world! I just wanted to update real quick about that, so I had it written down. I have big plans for this blog in the future, things that I want to talk about, so hopefully I can get started on that soon. I'm just super tired tonight, so I think I'm gonna catch up on some DVR'd shows and then head to bed.

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend! :) Enjoy your week!!

1. I am thankful for all of the amazing Docs/Nurses/EMTs/Paramedics/Staff that we encountered this weekend. They were all unbelievable.
2. I am thankful that our baby girl is ok, and that she's feeling SO much better now.
3. I am thankful for so many wonderful friends/family that prayed so hard for her and for us this weekend. It really means a lot to us.
Love
