Middle of February already?!?

Wow!! How time is flying by!! I can't believe it will be the middle of February already this week!! What has happened since my last post?? Well let's see....
We've both been pretty busy with work. I have had a TON of snow days lately. I honestly can't remember the last time we worked a full 5 day work week. We've either had snow days or late starts (sometimes both) every single week for the last several! It's been crazy. We got over 10 in. of snow this past week. Then today it's over 60 degrees!! Kansas weather for ya! I'm glad it's so warm out. It puts a smile on my face! Plus, I love the fact that it's melting all that nasty snow! Now as long as we don't get more, we'll be good! lol I'm sooooo ready for warmer weather, can you tell? Not necessarily summer weather, but spring time weather would be great. I love spring & fall. Definitely my favorite seasons.
Justin and I went baby shopping a few weeks ago! We got so many awesome things, it's definitely getting both of us so excited to see that little girl's room filling up!! We finally got our crib leg, the right one, what a fiasco that whole thing was! Justin got that put together and I'm soooo happy with it! It's beautiful. We also bought a pack 'n play and he put that together too! I ordered our crib bedding set online and got that as well so it's all put together and looks great! :) We also picked up a rocker/recliner while we were shopping. We decided to go with one that will match our living room furniture since it will probably be used there more, after it's taken out of her room. I'll have to put a brown blanket over it though or my OCD will get out of control!! lol Here's a pic of the crib and bedding set put together, and then a pic of the pack 'n play, crib and our rocker!

Let's see, what else... Justin is at drill this weekend and the USMC is finally getting things together for him to go AD. We are both sooooo excited about this! He was going to wait originally, until Sept./Oct. because he wanted to go to the Cpl's course this summer and the ranger etc. with his unit. But, after talking to his Admin section this weekend at drill, he found out there's only 5 spots open for the course this summer so it looks like he wouldn't be able to go anyway, so he he's basically said, I wanna be here long enough for us to have this baby girl and then we are moving on! :) It kinda sucks we won't be around the fam. for very long that way, but we gotta do what we gotta do too, and this route is definitely what is going to be the right route for us at this point in time. There's still a chance that they won't have a spot open for him in his MOS schooling when he gets to that point, so he may get put on AD with Rec Aid for awhile while he waits, but as long as he gets on AD, we can wait a few more months if that's what it takes, especially since that's kinda what we were planning anyway. So we'll just have to see how that goes. But he's going to get the paperwork started this week!! Oh I'm so excited that he is so excited and that it's actually going somewhere now. As long as we don't get hung up on something else, it should go pretty smoothly. May be a lengthier process than we hope, but as long as it's going somewhere, we have no complaints!! The other best part about all of this? Our friends that are also AD in the USMC will be ready for a new duty station around Feb. of next year, and they've already said they are going to put in for wherever we currently are, since we'll get our duty station first! You have NO idea how exciting THAT is for us! lol It will be awesome to be stationed with them. :) She's actually moving back here, where her family all is, this coming week!! They've been stationed in NC for the past year and a half and he is deployed now as of this past week, to Afghanistan for a year. It'll be so awesome having her here for as long as we're here anyway. :) This is the first time since college (5 years ago!) that we've lived in the same city & state for that matter! It's gonna be a wonderful summer!!
What else, what else. I have just over a month before we do our 3D/4D sono! I can't wait to see our baby girl again!! Then just 2 days after our sono is my baby shower!!! My awesome SIL's are planning that. I'm beyond stoked for that. It will be so much fun to get together with everyone and celebrate our little miracle! :) Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to it. Can't believe it's just a month and a few days away!! By then, we'll be at the end of March already! I can't believe how fast this whole thing is going. I'm 25 weeks today and I can remember when February seemed like it was soooooooooooo far away, and now it's almost half way done! It's crazy how time has flown by.
I'm really loving how more and more excited Justin seems to get every single day. He talks about our baby girl all the time. He put all of her room together by himself. All I was "allowed" to do was sit in the rocker and take pics! He's told me so many times that he just goes in there and stands and looks at everything and gets emotional that this is really happening. He's gonna be such a wonderful daddy. The best around I'm sure of it. He's going to be such a hands on dad and so involved. He's already such a wonderful husband, I just know he's going to be the most amazing dad. I can't wait to see him in action! :) Not sure how I got so lucky, but I sure did. I know I talk a lot about that in this blog, but I can't help it. I find myself just watching him and wondering what I did to deserve him, how one person can be so wonderful, everything I ever wanted. He's just my best friend, husband & hero. I'm so proud of him and all that has and will accomplish.
Well, I've been doing a lot of things around the house today, getting stuff cleaned up and put away, because it needs it mainly! I made Justin a cheesecake for Valentine's Day tomorrow, and picked up a few little things for him. :) I'm glad the drill weekend is coming to a close! :) I better get back to this house!
Love....
