Here it is MARCH already! I really can't believe how quick this year is going by already. It seems like it was just Christmas, and now it's almost time for spring break!
Well, let's see... Since the last time I wrote, what all has happened??? I took Justin to Wichita to the indoor shooting range for his birthday. I didn't tell him where we were going until we pulled in the parking lot. He had a lot of fun and was definitely surprised. I finally pulled off a surprise without him figuring out what it was!! :) We had a really good time and also ate at Fox & Hound for the first time. It was so yummy! On Sat. the 26th, my MIL & SILs and I attended a fundraiser for the American Brain Tumor Association. My ex step mom's sister & her husband are raising money to do a walk for the ABTA in May in Chicago. Her husband has the same type of brain tumor that my mom had. They ended up having a spa day with a bunch of different things going on, and for a $25 donation, you could do any of the booths they had. I got a mani, my hair cut & a massage. It was such a fun day and what a wonderful cause! :) It felt good to help them out. I think their goal was $1000? They made $800!! Not too shabby I don't think! This past Monday, the 28th, I fell at work, slipped on some water. Hurt my back/shoulder pretty good but kept feeling the baby move so I wasn't really too concerned. I did go home from work to lay down b/c it hurt so bad. I ended up calling the doc, just so they had it in my file that I had fallen in case something else came up later, but since I was still feeling her move just fine I really wasn't concerned. Well, they ended up saying that I needed to go to L&D to get checked out. Justin drove me to Hutch and we got to the hospital and had to be checked in and then we were informed that the doc wanted me to be monitored for 4 hours just to make sure. So they strapped on a heart monitor for the baby, to my belly and then later did an U/S to check things out. Justin got to see her again, but I didn't!! :( I was so sad.... But they said she looked great and looked like things were fine. So they monitored her HB and my BP for the next several hours and then finally let us go home. It was kinda scary at first, but it was nice to be able to hear her HB for 4 hours straight. :) But everything is great with her which was my main concern, and I'm still a bit sore, but doing better every day. :)
That brings us up pretty current! Not a whole lot going on. Just a few things. Getting very excited to go to our 3D/4D sono in 2 weeks! :) Can't believe it's so close already!! I have my LAST 4 week appt next Wed. (the 9th) and then we start going every 2 weeks! I can't believe THAT is here already as well. It seemed so far away and now it's just around the corner literally! We also have 2.5 weeks 'til my baby shower!! Invites went out this week and I'm soooooooo excited for that! Then, I'll have a week of spring break and my little brother is supposed to come stay with us for that whole week!! That should be a lot of fun. I haven't seen him since Sept and we only saw each other 2 times last year. It'll be nice to have him here to hang out. Just gotta figure out what all we're going to do that week. :) After that, we'll only have about a week left in March! It's crazy how fast this whole thing is going!!! May is soooo close I can't believe it. I'm excited for her to be here though!!! :) Only update on the AD thing that I have right now is that we were told it could take UP TO 6 months for us to even get an answer on if Justin is approved to go from reserve to AD. That's pretty disappointing, but I guess if I can be optimistic, we know it won't be any longer than that, and that puts us at Sept. He's still going to look into the OCS thing, but isn't sure if he'll be able to do that or not. So it's just a wait and see at this point. It'll probably be awhile before we have any other updates on that, but we're hoping it goes a lot quicker than that!
Well, I don't think there's really anything else to update on! Just getting more and more excited to meet our precious angel!! :) So many exciting things to look forward to in the next few weeks & months. Stay tuned!!
