Hello! :) So, yesterday, Justin was off so we got to hang out all day! We went for a walk in the afternoon and we ended up over at my in-laws. Justin helped his dad put siding on his garage for awhile and G and I watched them. :) After that we walked home and took naps. Then we went to Fat Boyz to eat! It was YUM-MY!!!!!!! (As always!) Came home and had a fire with Tara & AJ! Always a good time. Nice and relaxing. Today, I woke up with a migraine. :( I had a headache most of yesterday and this morning it was even worse. I was supposed to meet my bestie Megan in Salina and go to "On the Pot" (it's a make-you-own-pottery place) to hang out since her b/day was yesterday, but I ended up having to cancel because my head hurt so bad... :( Justin got up with G and then went to the store and got me some Excedrin and came home and made breakfast for us. :) I relaxed and slept most of the morning. This afternoon we carved a pumpkin! We put a powercat on it. LOL It was a LOT harder than it looked to begin with. Needless to say, it doesn't look the greatest, but eh, it'll do. lol We both got to play with Griffyn on the floor for quite awhile this afternoon! It was so much fun. Laughing with her, showing her new things. I love it. She's soooo close to sitting up completely by herself now! I'm sure it'll happen in the next little bit. Ordered pizza tonight and watched the Kstate game! It was an AWESOME win for the Cats tonight!!! So proud of them! 6-0 now! :) We have had such a great weekend so far and we still have another day to enjoy! :) It's been wonderful.
I decided last night that I'm going to "un-plug" a little bit. I have been guilty of spending wayyyyy too much time on Facebook and texting lately. So, I didn't check FB until just about 7pm tonight! It actually felt really good!! I've also decided that I'm only going to check txt messages periodically throughout the day, instead of being attached at the hip with my phone. So, that being said, if you ABSOLUTELY need to get ahold of me, call, don't txt, otherwise, I'll get back to you whenever I do. :)
Justin called his unit yesterday and didn't learn too much. The Cpl he's been going through, of course, didn't have very many answers for him. He's going to try to call them again next week and see if he can talk to the SSgt and see where he gets from there, otherwise, we're just still waiting! We technically have until the end of Dec, but it's just so hard to wait when we've waited all this time already! We're just so ready to get on with our lives! We enjoy every little thing, every single day, but you SHOULD be always looking to improve your life, right? That's how we feel, if we stay here, we'd just be settling. That's not to say that this town isn't right for anyone, of course it is. We just aren't "made" for small town living! lol especially after living in Manhattan for 4 years! We're ready for the next chapter(s) of our lives! Can't wait! We are going to get to experience so many different things. GRIFFYN is going to get to experience EVERYTHING! She is going to get to live in so many different places, see so many different things, meet so many different people! It's going to be amazing. I just smile thinking about it. I just hope that she will never think her life is boring! I want her to be able to see the world.
We are just so incredibly blessed! Every single day I wake up and think "I can't believe this is my life!" :) It's just wonderful. Even though we aren't where we want to be, in a way, right now, it's still amazing! It's wonderful that we get to be a part of our families lives, that we get to see them all the time. That we get to go on walks in a "small town" and not have to worry about things, that we have cheaper bills! (lol), that we get to do things we otherwise might not get to because we have cheaper bills, that we are able to be a one income family, that we have each other!, that we were blessed with such an amazing and beautiful baby girl. I know I say it all the time on here and on FB, but we really are just so blessed, in so many ways. So, even though it may not be, ultimately, where we want to be, what we want to be doing, for right now, it's exactly where we NEED to be. I believe everything happens for a reason. There's TONS of reasons I can think of as to why we are still here. Experiences we would've missed out on otherwise, both past, present and in the near future! :) I'm excited! I love that our lives are never boring, there's always something to look forward to. That's how I believe it should be! You should never just "be" in life. You should always have things to strive for, things to accomplish, things to be excited about! That's not wrong, is it?? I didn't think so either. :)
Well, not much else to update on!! Exciting things to come in the near future. I'll discuss them at a later time. :) In other news, I'm planning an exciting 'trip' for my little family as our anniversary "date", since we never did get to do anything for it, just us (of course we went to dinner with my fam, which was awesome!) but I'm surprising Justin with it, so I won't say anything on here YET!! Haha But, I'm really excited and looking forward to it! Just the 3 of us, it'll be fantastic! :) I hope you all are enjoying your weekend as much as I am! Life is amazing, God is GREAT, be blessed friends!!!
