Changes

I like that word better than "resolution", I think. So, the changes I am looking forward to achieving this year are as follows:
1.Losing more weight! I would love to lose at least 30 more lbs. At that point I think I would be content where I'm at, but we'll see. For now, that is my goal! :) Just 30 more. Piece of cake!
2. Run at least 3 different 5k's. The first one will be on March 17th! :) I'm already looking forward to it!
3. Be the best mother I can be.
4. Be the best wife I can be.
5. Be a better friend to those I care about and that genuinely care about me.
6. Continue to grow my faith in God.
7. Eliminate all of our credit card debt! (which isn't much, but it'll make me feel better!)
8. Have a savings a account with a significant amount in it.
9. Have a better life plan. I was going to say "move out of Lyons" but just in case that isn't in the cards right this second, I would like to say one of the changes I want to make is to have a plan (at least) to move on, if the USMC thing doesn't work out for some reason.
10. Stop and enjoy life more! I think I always say this one every year, and I really do try to do this, but I know that I can always do better! :)
So those are at least my "Top 10" I'm sure there will be others that will come up, but those are the ones at the top of my list right now to accomplish or at least really make a huge effort to do and be better. I'm always striving to be the best that I can be.
I hope that you all enjoyed your NYE! I know I sure did. I spent it over at my in-laws with some of the fam. It was wonderful to just have a relaxing evening hanging out with family, snacking and playing cards. I would take that over a night on the town any day. :)
I took my little brother back to Salina yesterday afternoon after making a stop in Lincoln to see our Grandma and visit the cemetery where our mother is buried. It's always so so hard to go there. We talked about how much it sucks to have to go to a cemetery and stare at stone to "see" her. Sure wish it didn't have to be that way..... It was nice to be there with him though. He's a tough kid in his only 12 years! I can't believe how mature he is. He's always been such a sweet kid. I am thankful we have gotten to see each other so often this year. We've made plans for him to come back over spring break, if not before then, too, so I'm looking forward to that. After I dropped him off, I met my best friend Megan at the mall and we walked around and chatted for an hour or so. Then we left and went to get some ice cream. I love her so much. We've been through a ton in the 14 years we've been friends and I wouldn't change any of it. She's such a great friend. Even though we don't get to see each other nearly often enough, we always pick right back up where we left off. It was great to get to hang out with her. :) Then I came home and we went over to the in-laws for the evening. Rang in the New Year and then went to bed! My Uncle and my cousins came up from Oklahoma so G & I  went to GB to my dad's to visit with them. It was great to see them, too. Haven't seen them in a really long time, it was the first time they'd met Griffyn. We just got home a little bit ago and now Justin and I are just relaxing while Griffyn sleeps. :)
My FIL asked if he could keep G on Tues evening while we go do something. Not sure what in the world we will go do,  but he insisted that we find something to do so he could hang out with her. Maybe just come home and hang out, maybe go get some grub, who knows. I just think it's kinda funny that they have to ask to keep her! lol We just always have her, and she goes wherever we go, so we don't do things without her unless we have to or they ASK if they can keep her. So, we'll see what (if anything) we end up doing that night. After the busy week I had last week, I'm looking forward to this week being rather "chill", I must say!! :) Probably won't do a whole lot, which is great with me!!! :) Justin has to go back to working nights on Wed. already, boooooooo, so I'm looking forward to spending the next 2 days off with him. :)
Well, not much else to report on! I hope you all had a wonderful New Years!!!! Many blessings to all!
1. I am thankful that the holidays are over (haha not that they were bad by any means!) and we are moving on to another start of a great year!
2. I am thankful that I will get to celebrate another year old in a few weeks!! :)
3. I am thankful that it has been so incredibly BEAUTIFUL the last week! It's been so nice to be able to get outside and go for walks and enjoy the weather! :)
Love
