30 days!!!!!!!
We only have 30 days until our due date!! I can NOT believe it is just around the corner! In a day and a half I'll be able to say we're having our baby THIS month!! Its so, so crazy! I have decided that I'm going to document every day until she gets here starting today. I figure it will give me something to write about, even if it's not very interesting, and it'll help me in the years to come to "remember" what the last few days of just "us" were like! :)
Well, today is Friday, and we officially have 14.5 days of work/school left! I can't believe how fast this year went by there! It's crazy. It still feels like we just started school in Aug., a few weeks ago!! I'm ready for it to be over though, not gonna lie. I've enjoyed it, but I'm really getting to the point in my pregnancy where I just feel huge and it's hard to do the things I did before, and I'm finding myself not having very much patience for hardly anything or anyone anymore. So I'm glad, for my kids at school's sake, that we don't have too many days left! lol
We are heading to Manhattan tonight, for the weekend, for the Spring Game! There will be 13 of us there! Justin's dad and grandpa are going, my parents and brother's and Jack's g/f are going, Heidi & Jarid, and then Brock will already be there and Ashley G. is coming down too, then us, of course. :) It is gonna be so much fun, as it always is. Even though I'll have to be the DD. I'm totally ok with it!! :) I am sooooooo excited! I'm really looking forward to getting out of Lyons for the weekend, but even more looking forward to just being back in Manhattan. I realllllyyyyy miss it!! I never thought I would miss it as much as I do! I think it's because I always figured when we moved out of Manhattan we'd be moving on to bigger/better places, and instead we got stuck in this black hole... I know the end is in sight though! We are bound and determined to get out of here in the near future!! Hopefully somewhere around the fall, at the latest. I told Justin, I reallllyyyyy don't want to be here by our anniversary! But we'll see how that works out. :) It will be really nice to be around family for awhile after the baby is first here though. I'm glad they will get that time with her since we probably won't get the chance to come back but once or twice a year after we get stationed somewhere else. Thank goodness for the internet! I'll just have to teach my parents how to use Skype so we can still "see" each other often. :)
Let's see what else.... Well we have officially started our every week appointments with my OBGYN now! It was pretty exciting this past Monday. That was our first appt. She told me that I am dilated to a "fingertip" and already starting to thin out!! I know that it may not mean I will go early, but the thing I'm just stoked about is that it's happening! Just one more "proof" to add to the list that the time is getting so close!! I'm anxious to go back on Monday and see if anything else has happened since then. We also had our Group B strep test done, so we will get those results on Monday as well. I hope it comes back negative, just so I don't have to worry about anything extra! I know it's not really that big of a deal, they just give you meds through your IV, but the way I worry about things, I'd just rather not have to worry about that too! :) Guess we will see though. Baby is moving like crazy still. Sometimes I swear she is doing Dance Dance Revolution in there! I love it though. It's so amazing. Such an incredible experience it has been. My feet have been swelling since about 30-31 weeks. It seems like every week they get worse than before. That's a pretty big debbie downer, but my BP has been fine and there's been no protein in my urine, so doc isn't worried about it. I'm definitely ready for that part to be over though. They swell so big and then the skin gets tight and it hurts really bad to even walk. It's been swelling all the way up to my knees as well! Let me tell you how much fun wearing jeans is when that happens! haha Other than that, everything with baby is great! We are anxiously awaiting her arrival!! :) We have finally got everything organized in her room and finished up the shopping last weekend. :) Sooooo exciting!! The only things left to do are sterilize the bottles/nipples and the pacifiers. Everything else is as ready to go as I know how to be! I even have our hospital bags pretty much ready to grab and walk out the door! :) Can you tell I'm excited?!? :)
Well, not much else to update on at this point anyway. I have a "prediction" that she's going to come around the 10th of May. I'm sure it's just "hoping" lol, but I'm writing it down now incase I end up being right!! lol I just hope it's not that weekend, because Justin will be at drill, and that would be a whole nightmare by itself! So she either needs to come before, or stay tucked in there nice and tight 'til Sunday night/Monday. haha!!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!! I know I'm definitely planning to do so!! :)
Love
