So, unfortunately, we didn't get to do anything fun and exciting since he worked, but I hope he had a wonderful day anyway. He's off most of the weekend (goes in on Sun) so we might try to have dinner at some point.... maybe.... lol The weekend is filling up fast already! We shall see.
He called his unit yesterday to find out about his paperwork since it should've been there last Fri. and he still hadn't heard from them. The person(won't mention who) that he spoke with was very short with him, pretty rude actually. Justin thinks that he got his butt chewed over this whole thing and that's why he acted that way (Do your job and it wouldn't have happened, is my philosophy!) but it's whatever. Anyway, all he said was they supposedly haven't received his paperwork back to them yet, and they will let him know when they do. See? It's already getting interesting.... Guess we should've expected this. So anyway, we're still playing the waiting game as to when he will get to go sign his re-enlistment paperwork. I guess even though they know that he has been approved they have to have the physical paperwork back in their office before they can proceed with anything. Hopefully we'll hear something next week from them. Again, they technically have until May 13th to do all of this, but Justin just wanted to get it done asap so that if/when there are issues that come up (since they always seem to do with these guys) they have plenty of time to get it remedied. HA! We'll see.... He has drill the weekend of the 10th, so I guess the positive is, if nothing happens before then, something will definitely be happening then!! lol That's the only update we have on that whole thing. I'll keep you posted.
Not much else going on with us. We are starting the Dave Ramsey course next week! Not sure if I've mentioned this before or not. I'm really, really looking forward to it! We are paying our little bit of credit card debt off with some of our tax return money, so the only debt we'll have left is Justin's student loans, but it'll be nice to learn some money saving strategies!! I'm looking forward to it. I'm excited. I've heard a lot of wonderful things about it and people that have completed it have great things to say about it. So that starts next Thurs night. Can't wait!
I can't believe we only have a few days left of February already! Where has the time gone?! (I feel like I say this all the time, but for real!) I can't believe it. My little brother has already been talking about coming up over spring break again! I am really looking forward to that. I love seeing him and getting to spend time with him, and since we only get to do it once or twice a year, it makes it even more special. Justin and I were just talking last night about possibly going to the zoo in Wichita while he's here, assuming it's nice enough to go. I'm really excited for that. I love going to the zoo and now that G is older I hope that she would enjoy it more too! :) Something else to look forward to!
I suppose that's about all I have to update on tonight. I did day 20 of FitFeb, the love handle workout and the arms workout. Definitely feelin' it! :) Now I'm gonna relax and catch up on my DVR'd Grey's & American Idol! Have a wonderful evening!
1. I am thankful for my husband, celebrating another year of life! So thankful for him.
2. I am thankful for a (still!!) clean house! It's so much easier to relax when it's clean! :)
3. I am thankful for this beautiful weather we've had! Can't wait for Spring!
Love
