Healthy eating & FitFeb 17!

So, in the last 2 weeks (give or take) Justin and I have been making a conscious effort to eat better. A LOT better! It actually feels really good. I can't tell you how great I feel. Working out and eating better and not drinking soda (ok maybe once a week I will, but we don't have any in the house) has made a HUGE difference on how I just feeeeeeel. It's awesome. We haven't come up with a whole lot of healthy ideas yet, but so far we've been eating a lot of chicken, made different ways, and veggies and salad! :) Yummm! It's been great so far! I'm looking forward to keeping it up and seeing where it gets us. He is trying to lose a little bit of weight, but more so just getting back into shape, so he's been working out at the gym several days a week too. It actually felt really good to go to the store the last couple of times and literally not have a single thing in the cart that was "bad" for us. AWESOME! :) I'm proud of us! :) haha I'm anxious for the next week to go by so the end of Feb is here and I can see where I'm at, weight/inches wise. I can't wait.

Other than that, I did the ab workout today, and the love handle one as well. Haven't ran in a couple of days because my legs have been really sore from my last run for some reason.

Griffyn had her 9 month appt today! She has grown more since her 6 month appt than she had from appt to appt before. At 6 months she was 16lbs 12oz (so just shy of 17lbs) and she was 24.75in long. Today she was 20 lbs and was 29in long! She's growin' up!! She also STARTED CRAWLING yesterday!!!! She's been scooting herself backwards and in circles for a couple of months now, but she couldn't get the hang of going FORWARD. Well she's got it now! I was so excited! I may or may not have teared up when she first did it though. ;) Just can't believe my baby girl is growing up and will soon be 1 year old! It's gone by so so quick!!

Justin is going to call his unit tomorrow (assuming they don't call him first) since today was a holiday for them, and see what they found out. Hopefully he'll have more information on all that soon. :)

1. I am thankful for my hubby being on board for getting healthy!! Makes it soooo much easier!
2. I am thankful that I get to stay home with our baby girl so I don't miss those Oh so important 1st's!
3. I am thankful that I am feeling even better on his journey to losing (more) weight and just getting healthy!
