Bummer

I skipped again! Dang. I'm getting bad at this..... Sorry. At least I can say you didn't miss much from yesterday! When Justin got home from work in the AM we went to Hutch to get his dry cleaning and stopped by Walmart before heading home. He went to bed when we got back and slept until early evening. G and I just hung out (like usual) 'til he got up. I helped him get all his uniforms and bags packed for drill this weekend and he ended up not leaving until about 1am. It was nice to get to hang out with him. He said he'd rather hang out here with us than drive to Topeka early and just go to bed, so that's what he did. On his way there he called and talked to me so he would stay awake. It was great chatting with him, but it sucked not getting to bed until about 4am!! We just kinda lounged around this morning and then ventured out to the store to get a couple of things. Had my youngest nephew's 5th birthday party this afternoon! That was fun. :) Just been hangin' out the rest of the evening. Talked to Justin for a little while. Glad he will be home tomorrow! :)

So, Griffyn was entered into that photo contest on FB and she is in FIRST place! There are 95 pictures of cute little girls. As of RIGHT now, she has 97 votes!!!! The next picture closest to her has 35!! :) Voting ends on Tues morning so if you haven't voted, PLEASE do! :) We sure appreciate it! :) She will win a free photo session with that photographer. Who can beat free?! I have been thinking about getting her pics taken again, will probably do it ever few months for the first year, so this would be great! :) Here's to hoping she will win!

I dunno what is gonna happen with this AD thing. We talked a LOT about it last night while Justin was driving. Our friend Aj (marine deployed in Afghanistan right now) checked on the status of it again today and it's still not showing in the system. We have no idea why that is. There's no excuse for it. Justin is going to tell his squad leader tomorrow what Aj said and ask him to find out from their Admin section what the deal is. He said if they don't have an answer for him (with proof of some sort) he is going to request mast. (Which means speaking to the higher ups) *sigh* It's just getting old. He told me last night that this is what he wants to do, but he's getting really tired of waiting. He said he feels like he's going "nowhere" in his life right now, being stuck here, and that if he would've known it was going to be this ridiculous and take this long only for us to STILL not have any answers, he would've been checking into other options besides the Marine Corps a long time ago. We discussed a lot of other options. Moving back to Manhattan, moving to KC, moving to Wichita, me going back to school, him getting into an EMT class to re-cert so he could get on a full time fire dept..... So I dunno what is going to happen with it all. I hate to give up on the AD thing because we've waited so long and have put so much into it, but at the same time, how long do we wait for it to happen???? Ugh.... I dunno... guess we'll see what happens tomorrow. He is hoping to also be put in to be meritoriously promoted. They should be taking pics for that tomorrow. :) Keeping our fingers crossed, that would be awesome!!
