Sooooo excited!!! My amazing husband is getting promoted in the UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS! He is going to be a Sergeant next weekend! It's exciting too because our friend Aj will be home from Afghanistan, and he is (hopefully) going to be able to go with Justin to pin him his new rank! How exciting!!!! :) I know they are both looking forward to that. I am so so so so so so so proud of him! The reserves typically promotes reallyyyy slow. Justin's only been in for just over 4 years and he will already be a Sergeant! Aj is active duty & he has been in for almost 9 years and he is a Sergeant right now! He is probably going to promote to Staff Sergeant in the next few months too, so that's exciting! I'm just so excited for Justin, I know he is so proud of himself and so excited for this too. He will be able to get his new chevrons ordered too so he will have them on his blues for the ball!! Yay Yay Yay! Can you tell how pumped I am?!? :)
He called today to find out about his AD paperwork. Of course the Cpl that is working on it wasn't there, so he talked to his boss, a Ssgt, and he told him to call back tomorrow and if he doesn't get what he's looking for to call and talk to him. Aj says it's STILL not showing up in the system as being in... Can you believe this??? Seriously? It's been over 6 months now and they said we would have an answer in 6 or less, and it hasn't even gone to the second step in the first process it has to go through. Unbelievable. Justin said if the Cpl can't tell him anything tomorrow he is going to call his squad leader and request mast. I know he really doesn't want to have to do that, but he is also tired of waiting for these people to do their job. He's tired of sitting around waiting for something to happen when we could've been doing something else by now if this isn't going to work out for some crazy reason. Soooo here's hoping he will get ANY news tomorrow!! :) Even better if it's good news! (I'm not holding my breath though!)
Griffyn is 18 weeks old today!! I can't believe it. She was rolling over like crazy this afternoon. She's been rolling over for several months now, but she seems like she does it more and more regularly every single day! It's sooooo much fun to watch her, witness her learning new things! I get so excited!! :) She's getting so big. I can't believe it. She'll be crawling and walking and talking before long!!!!
I'm starting in a small group (Bible study) on Thurs. at Pastor Joel's house. He txt me on Sunday and asked if I wanted to a part of his and his wife's group, with a few other people too. I'm actually really looking forward to it. I think it's gonna be great. I'm hoping to get a lot out of it! I'm also singing in church this Sunday! I'm looking forward to that as well. :) I've decided to do "You are for me" by Kari Jobe. If you haven't heard it, definitely check it out! It's one of my favorite songs right now. Love it.
So, as our anniversary is quickly approaching, I've decided one of the personal things I'm going to do for my husband is make a list, of a ton of things (I haven't decided on the # yet) that I love or appreciate about him. I hope that he likes it. :) I haven't decided what I'm going to get for him yet. But, I figure since we don't get to spend the weekend before our anniversary or our actual anniversary together, it would be fun to make a list and either leave it in his truck for him to find on his way to work that night, or I might stick it in his lunchbox for him to find later. I dunno yet. We'll see. I think maybe I"ll just start writing the list and see how long it gets! :) Haha It will be fun! I'm looking forward to it!
Well, I suppose that's all for now! Nothing else too exciting to update on. :) Hopefully I'll have something to update on tomorrow about our AD journey! We'll see! :) Enjoy your Wednesday! :)
1. I am thankful today for having my sweet baby girl to kiss good night.
2. I am sooooo thankful and proud that my husband is going to be a Sgt by next weekend! :)
3. I am thankful for the playtime G & I get to have every single day. I don't take a single second with her for granted. I am so thankful to have her and that I am able to be with her every single day, all day long! Blessed. I am truly, truly blessed!
Love
