So, today I got up early (haha) and went to babysit my niece and nephew....
Just until noon. We watched Shrek 4 and then some Spongebob. G slept the whole time I was over there. I don't think she felt very good today... :( She slept wayyyyy more than usual and when she was awake she was pretty crabby. Poor baby.... She's had green goopy eyes since she was born, and the doc tried eye drops for awhile and that didn't do any good, so he determined it must be a clogged tear duct. He said at her 4 month appt he would check them again and if they were still that way he'd send us to a specialist to see about having them opened up surgically. Well today they were really bad and they were red and swollen too. I'm not sure if it's because they were worse or if it's because I just have to wipe them out so often that they were getting irritated. Either way, made me feel terrible. She doesn't like to have them wiped, that's for sure. So I called the doc again about them and told 'em they seemed worse, so the nurse talked to the doc and then called me back and said he wants to have a specialist look at her, so we have an appt to see that doc on the 13th. Let's hope there's something else we can do for her! This would be her second "procedure" since she was born! (She also had her tongue clipped) Poor baby! I dunno if this mama can handle it. :( I just want them to get better, I know she has got to be tired of it!
I got done over there about noon, came home and picked up the house a little bit and waited on the Cox guy (who also happens to be Tara, my bestie's, dad!) to come fix our cable that's been out since Wed. BOO! But he got it fixed so we're back in business now!! After he left, my bestie Megan & her hubs came here to hang out with us for awhile! It was so great to see them! We hadn't seen them since Griffyn was just a few days old. We visited for awhile and then they left to have dinner with his family. Justin left for work (again.... 2 more nights after tonight before he gets 2 days off!!) and G & I went to grab something to eat (yep, I had sonic for dinner! rut roe!) and then we went to visit with my FIL & MIL. My other nephew was there too and I ended up going on a bike ride with him and my MIL. He is only 5 and he went the full 3.5 mile route with us!! He is pretty much amazing. It was strange to ride in jeans though, I hadn't planned to ride, obviously! G got to hang out with her Pawpa while we went. I also, (I know, I know!!!) weighed myself again. Haha! Looks like it's gonna be a failed attempt at trying NOT to weigh everyday. BUT, I was down another 1.4lbs!!!! Yesterday I was 213.4 and today I was at exactly 212.0!! That means..... DOWN A TOTAL OF 59 freakin' pounds!!!!! I am so super pumped. Losing these last several pounds so consistently has made me almost forget about the plateau's I was experiencing just a few weeks ago! Feel so good. I can't wait. Only 2... TWO pounds to go until I'm at goal #1!!! I can't believe it!! Then I only have 10 to go to be at goal #2! :) It's gonna be awesome. It's gonna feel amazing. It ALREADY feels unbelievable! :)
Well, my new Vibrams weren't even supposed to ship until Sept 6th, but I got an e-mail today saying they went out today!!! It still says on the tracking info that I prob won't get them until the 8th, but hopefully it won't take that long! :) Either way, I'll be running in them by next weekend! WOOT! Justin was super pumped when I told him this morning that I ordered them for him too last night. :) I can't wait for him to try them out.
Not much else to report on today. It was a good day, other than G being kinda cranky. She's sleepin' good now so let's hope she feels better tomorrow! I'm singing in H town tomorrow morning, hopefully it won't be an all day thing. :P G gets to have Grandma/Grandpa time. I know they are looking forward to it. :) I hope you all are enjoying your Friday! Have a wonderful weekend!!!
1. I'm soooo excited that I'm down another pound!!
2. I'm thankful that I got to see Meggie & Chris today. :)
3. I'm thankful for a clean house again! :)
