Whew!

What a day!! We got up early and went to Hutch to G's doc's appt. At birth she weighed 7.4 lbs and 19.25 in. long, at 2 months she was 11.2 lbs and 22 in. long and today she was 14.1 lbs and 24 in. long!! I always thought she was a big baby. lol She has roll after roll and just looks nice and healthy! lol Turns out she's in the 40 something percentile for her age!! Whhhaattt??? I also asked the girls on my May baby forum that I read what their babies were at their 4 month appt. Out of 140+ responses there was less than 15 that were even close to Griffyn!! The majority weighed anywhere from 18-22 lbs!! WOW! So my baby girl is LITTLE! lol Doc also said that by observing her and doing a few tests etc. that she is "very mature for her age". He said most of the things she does and can do now, most babies her age can't. Talk about a proud mama!!! :) I love my sweet little peanut!!! She did end up having to get 2 more shots though. :( Made me sad.... but we got through it. We also got the go ahead to start food!! He said to start her on rice cereal 1x a day and if she does ok with that for 1-2 weeks then we can move her up to 2x's and also start introducing fruits/veggies. He said to only introduce one new one a week. I'm soooooooooo excited about this!! :) She did AWESOME today when we tried the cereal. She really liked it and after a few spoonfuls really got the hang of it. :) Again... such a proud mama!! :) I can't wait to see how she does when we get to fruits/veggies. :)

Got home early this afternoon and took a nap for a little while then cleaned up the house some. I went to small groups (Bible study) over at Pastor Joel's house early this evening. It was actually really awesome. I felt a little bit awkward because it was Joel & his wife Kendra, and 2 other couples and then me... well and G, but I didn't have my husband like the others did.... But after we got started I loosened up a lot and it wasn't as awkward as I thought it would be. We talked about the book we are doing for the study, went through the first chapter, answered the questions and just talked. It was actually really great. At one point my mom and our miscarriages and Justin not being a Christian got brought up, all on my own accord, and I got emotional and felt embarrassed for doing so, but I just can't seem to bring up any of those subjects without getting that way, and to have all of them brought up, it was just a disaster. But, everyone was really supportive and reassuring. Hopefully next week I won't make myself out to be such an idiot! :P After small group was over, I picked Justin up and we went to Fat Boyz with my in-laws and Heidi & Jarid. It was fun! We hadn't been since before G was born. :) Always yummy, yummy food!!

Well, they have officially charged 2 (at least) people in Jenny's death! As exciting as it is, it's just so sad as well. They say it was a case of "mistaken identity". How incredibly awful. To know that they meant to kill someone else (not that ANYONE deserved it, that's not what I'm saying) but instead Jenny was killed.... Her son doesn't have a mommy and her husband doesn't have a wife. It's just so so so sad.... I guess at very minimum though, they are paying for it now, they were caught. Hopefully that gives the family at least some sort of peace, closure, comfort.... something. My heart just breaks for all of them....

Not much else that I can think of right now to update on. I'm sleepy but can't ever seem to get to sleep so I stayed up pretty late tonight. Justin is working the weekend (nights) so I'm not looking forward to that... It just sucks not having him home... Then he has drill next weekend (his weekend off) and then the weekend after he'll be back to work, so yeah it'll be awhile before we have a weekend off again together.... Sad! But, I'm so proud of how hard he works for our family and what a great worker he is. I hope you all had a great week! It's finally (almost) friday!!! :) I know how exciting it is to all of you who work (outside the home!) during the week and get weekends off! I hope you enjoy! :)
1. I am thankful for small groups and everything I got out of tonight and it was just the first night! Definitely looking forward to this journey! :)
2. I am thankful for my sweet baby girl and all that she is and has accomplished already in her short little life!! I just love, love, love her.
3. I am thankful for getting to spend the evening with my wonderful husband. <3 He means more to me than he could possibly ever know.
Love
