The State Fair!

Well, we did it. We spent 2 out of 3 days of our weekend at the fair. :) I officially went 4 times, Griffyn 3 times, Justin twice. :) We had SUCH a great weekend!!! It was amazing to get to spend the entire weekend with Justin. I honestly can't believe it had been soooooo long! Let's hope it's not even close to that long again before he gets another weekend off. Right now, his next full weekend off will be Oct 15th. :P Sad that when you think about it, that's almost a month from now. :( :( We definitely took advantage of our time together. We had soooo much fun as a little family! :) Saturday we slept in, then got up and around, hung out for awhile, didn't do a whole lot. Started getting ready for our evening about 2 or 3. We took G over to my SIL Hollie's about 4:30 and she got to play with them for the evening. We went to the fair with my SIL Heidi and her boyfriend Jarid and Heidi & Justin's cousin David. It was a lot of fun hanging out with those crazy kids. :) I had a few more "firsts". I ate deep fried cookie dough, (WOW!! It was soooo yummy!) and I went on Ye Old Mill. It was a "ride". You get in a boat with other people (our group) and go through these pitch black tunnels where people jump out and yell or scream or make weird noises, or there's random lights or scary things. Yeaaahhhhh I won't ever go again! I got suckered into it! :) I'm a big wuss, but I don't care! It was a lot of fun all in all though. We had a great night. I was definitely ready to go pick up our baby girl though when we got back that night. I missed her!!! I don't care if it sounds pathetic, I miss her like crazy when she's not around. Thank goodness it doesn't happen often!!! :) She turned 4 months old yesterday too!! I can't believe it! She's growin' up way too quick! :( After we got home, we had a fire in the firepit at our house and Jarid & Heidi hung out with us for a couple hours. That's always so fun and relaxing too. It's nice to just get to hang out and chill!

Today, we got up and I went to run, weighed myself. Haven't lost anything, but considering all the fried food I ate yesterday, I was surprised to see I hadn't even gained an ounce either! Hoping this week I can see some more lbs come off!! I'm getting anxious!! I did dig out some old clothes because mine are starting to depress me. Granted, losing weight and having your clothes be too big is a good problem to have, except when you don't have a ton of money laying around to go buy a whole new wardrobe, so you end up still having to TRY to wear the stuff that's too big and it doesn't fit and looks like complete crap on you. I hate it. But, I did find a couple of pairs of jeans I haven't been able to wear since right after we first moved to Manhattan (5 years ago) and they fit!!!! That was amazing to see/realize! :) So I at least have 2 more pairs of jeans that will get me by for awhile anyway. I'm anxious to see how long it takes for those to get too big. :) I just hate being in this "awkward" stage right now. So then we hung out this afternoon and then decided to see if the fam wanted to get together for a bbq at my in laws. Some were able to make it and we did have a great time over there too. We haven't bbq'd in a long time! I'm hoping we can find a time one of these weekends before it gets too much colder, for everyone to be able to get together. That is one nice thing about living back here, everyone's close, so most of the time we can decide last min to do something and most if not all of everyone can make it. After we got home, we put G to bed and then watched a movie and now we're thinking it's about time for us to head that way too. Justin's been trying to stay up since he works tomorrow night he will need to sleep as late as he can tomorrow during the day. But, as I'm typing this he's fallin' asleep on the couch beside me. :)

Not too much planned for this week, so far. Griffyn has her 4 month doc appt on Thurs., but other than that, I don't think we have anything else planned right now. I can't believe we only have a few days of September left! where has the time gone?!? I was just thinking that in a couple of days it'll be 3 months 'til Christmas!! WOAH. Tara's hubby comes home at the end of the month! That's exciting!!! He'll be home for 2 weeks so I'm sure we'll get to hang with them quite often too. Then before you know it, it'll be the middle of October and then Halloween! It's soooo crazy how quick time flies. Our anniversary is also only a couple weeks away! I'm sad that Justin works the weekend before and the day of, though. Guess we'll have to postpone our celebration. :P It's crazy to think that we've almost been married for 3 years already! Feels like just a few weeks ago we ere still trying to get everything in order. And to think, now we have a sweet baby girl too. Wow... It's amazing how much life changes.

Well, I suppose that's about it for now. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as we did! :)
1. I'm thankful that we had such a perfect little "much needed" weekend with our little family. Sad that it went by so quickly!
2. I'm getting excited for Griffyn's appt on Thurs, she should be starting FOOD soon!! :)
3. I'm thankful for being able to fit into smaller jeans I haven't been able to wear in YEARS! :)
Love
